Fun at the fair and more

Rich started orientation last Wednesday and official classes today. Me and Claire miss him while he is at school but we have been finding ways to have fun. We clean the house, go swimming, play/clean up our yard, sleep, work, play with toys and much more.

While in our back yard you have to watch out for the little "gifts" these guys leave us.

Last week I learned that it isn't very safe to put a table cloth on the table with a vase of flowers. As you can see in this picture, claire saw me put the table cloth on and decided she wanted it. She was so proud of herself! (im so glad the vase didn't break)

This is claire showing off one of her favorite toys. A plastic spider! oh boy, as long as she doesn't pick up real spiders when she sees them I think we will be okay.

We are so glad when daddy comes home! Claire loves to "help" daddy with his homework. It looks like rich will be doing a lot of his homework at school.

On saturday we went to the county fair. It was a lot of fun. Claire couldn't get enough of everything. She loves people!

We thought the pig racing was pretty funny. They were actually trained really well and had some pretty awesome names.

We really enjoyed the week and look forward to a lot more fun things to come.

Welcome to our home

A lot of people have been asking what are new place looks like. Well here are a few pictures. Sorry they are so dark I am doing this post after claire went to bed. I will post a couple pictures of our backyard later.

My most recent project. Tissue paper flowers. I have a brown thumb and kill everything. Im excited I found something that wont die! These are so easy and dirt cheep to make.
Claire's room. Its HUGE!
Our bedroom.
And HUGE closet!
Our laundry room. There is a lot of room in it. I love my new full size washer dryer. Thanks handsome. now i just have to clean this room, we are also using it as storage.

8 months old

My little baby is 8 months old! Where has time gone.

She is getting so big so fast.
Claire is getting into everything!
She crawling with lightning speed if she sees something she wants.
She loved other kids.
She stands up every once in a while without holding onto something. When she realizes she isn't touching anything she grabs something or drops to the floor.
Claire waves at everyone and everything.
She eats and eats and eats. I can tell she is growing out of nursing slowly. Some days she will only nurse 3 times (other days it is like 7) but she wants to eat what we are eating. She loves it all unless it is green (peas, broccoli, green beans).
She loves to play peek-a-boo with us.
She also has started to love cuddling.

I love this little girl.

Painting the seminary room

My mom is amazing! She has been teaching early morning seminary for a few years now and she has been decorating the seminary room (a bedroom in my parents house) to go along with the theme of the year. Last year was D&C and she painted the room like Joseph Smiths log cabin. This year is Old testament so the room is Noahs Ark! We are having a little too much fun. :)

We spent last week painting ALL kinds of animals. The room looks like you are inside the ark.

I painted the giraffes. So much fun...

We have a peacock, zebra, turtles, birds, dove, giraffes, lions, panda, rabbit, hippo, dog, pink flamingo, snake, whales, fish, cow, elephants, tiger, penguins and camels. I think thats it. I will post pictures when we finish painting the animals.

Sara read claire a book while we were painting and gave her a chocolate chip cookie. She loved it as you can tell!

I will post pictures of the room when we finish.

HAPPY B-DAY and more....

Yesterday was Rich's birthday, we celebrated it on saturday. We went on our first date without claire! It was so much fun. We went flying! It was a lot of fun. We flew to salem had dinner and then flew back home. Rich even flew the plane. He did great! Happy birthday Rich!

We are finally getting everything set up in our apartment and it feels great! It feels more like home every day. Here is one of our visitors we had in our backyard today! This deer hung out for hours, they are all over our neighborhood. Kinda fun.

In the last two weeks claire has learned to wave. Its been so much fun, she is so cute and waves at strangers in stores, at the pool and wherever we go. She also started playing peek-a-boo with me and rich the other day. So cute!

Claire has also been REALLY messy, I just thought I would share a couple pictures. It is so much fun to watch her grow up! She is getting so big so fast! I love being a mom!

Fun at the beach

Last week we took a trip to the beach. Claire loved the sand!
