We are now a 2 car family and other news

With Rich driving 45 minutes to an hour into work every day we decided it would be good to get a car that gets better gas milage. We now own a nissan sentra and its been so nice to have!

In other news, Scott got his contact put in this week. He has been such a trooper. Poor kid. It looked a lot harder than i expected to get the contact into his eye. I hope i will be able to get it in. For the next couple months the doctor will be doing it though.

Here is rich wearing Scott's eye shield at the doctors.

Scott was so happy to not have a shield or patch on his eye!

Claire is getting a lot better at playing with scott. Yesterday she said "baby" for the first time and now walks around saying "hi baby" and waving at scott. She is so cute!

During the day Scott wears an eye patch on his good eye to force him to use his left eye. He doesn't like it a whole lot bet at least its better than the shield. He only has to wear the shield when he sleeps now.

Happy Tuesday with Jello Cookies

Happy Tuesday! Today was a good day. Claire took 2 naps! Best thing in the world. and me and claire made Jello cookies. It was so much fun. She loved helping and playing with the dough.

She made such a big mess! totally worth it...

I love the colors... We liked all of the cookies except the orange. For some reason the orange jello was really strong!

Scott is still our little Cyborg! He is such a good sport. Poor guy has to wear this eye shield for a month.  If anyone has any ideas on something i could do to stop the tape from irritating his skin. He gets 6 to 8 eye drops a day so i have to keep taking this on and off.

He is doing so much better today. Since scott didn't really eat for a couple days he was very grumpy and was making up for lost time and he ate about every half hour for about a day. (so glad he is done with that!)

Claire loves being outside. you cant tell in this picture but its raining. She didn't care.

Rich started work and is enjoying it so far. He has done a few projects now. Good job handsome!

Scott's Cataract Surgery

Scott is such a trooper! He had his cataract surgery today and was AMAZING! I have been dreading this day for weeks now but he was so good. He went 5 hours before surgery without eating, which I expected to be HORRIBLE, instead he had one little melt down before we left the house and then he was fine, even let me take a nap in the waiting room after check in.He finally was able to eat after 8 hours! Poor guy! His surgery went great, they got everything out and we are just waiting in the recovery room to be released to go home.

Scott will have quite a few appointments for a while, He starts wearing his contact in about a week. And will have to wear an eye patch on and off. He is going to be our little pirate for a while! We feel so blessed to live so close to such great doctors and specialists. I love this little guy!

End of the semester and our move

Rich finished out his first semester of law school last week! Its been a crazy month and Rich did so well balancing studying, family time, visits to hospitals and taking care of the kids. He is so happy to be done and we are excited for him to start his externship next week.

Where have my babies gone?
The kids are growing up so fast its hard to believe....

Claire is still adjusting to Scott and not always being the center of attention. She always wants to help with scott and thinks she knows how to do everything i do. She normally tries to help change his diaper, get him dressed and she feeds her dolls when I wont let her feed scott. She has been a little naughty lately, trying to get attention so we tried putting her in time out. Turns out, Claire likes being put into time out because it means she gets some attention. We will have to figure that one out.

She is adorable and so much fun to be around. She recently hit a growth spirt and I can't believe how tall she has gotten. She is 17 months old and almost old enough for nursery! We can't wait. Claire is always full of energy and learning new things every day. She loves being outside. She has started to talk more but still doesn't say a whole lot. Her new word this week is "down". She says "hi" to everyone and loves to wave.

She can be a picky eater but loves her rice and beans. :)

Scott is 4 weeks old, almost 5 weeks old! crazy. Where has time gone. He is getting stronger every day and better at holding up his head. He is awake more and more. He eats ALL the time now, almost every hour or two! Scott is also growing so fast. He is almost 10 pounds now. He loves to be moving, just like claire did, meaning I hold him a lot or put him in the swing. The swing is such a life saver!

He has his cataract surgery today. We will let you all know how that goes.

Sadly our swing broke during our move to oregon, I didn't notice until we pulled it out to use it. Luckily a friend of our is letting us use theirs. Claire really enjoys playing in the swing!

On tuesday we moved out of our apartment, put most of our stuff into storage and moved in with my parents for the summer. It was a crazy couple days. We didn't really start packing till monday! (remind me not to do that again) Claire had a hard time with us packing everything up. Poor girl. This was her 3rd move. She doesn't do well with all the change, luckily she loves my parents house and all the attention, so she is doing better.

Everything wore her out!

Scott's 2 week photo shoot

When Scott was 2 weeks old, a friend of ours took some pictures for us. She did AMAZING! They are adorable. Thank you katie!

Its only been 2 weeks since these were taken and both claire and scott already look older! She took a TON of pictures, you can see the rest of them on facebook.
