Scott Richard Butler!

Scott Richard Butler was born Saturday April 14! YAY! He was 7 pounds 1 ounce and 19 inches long... A big surprise since the doctor thought he was going to be a big baby. He is so tiny and adorable. Just Perfect!

I was induced saturday about 3:30pm and Scott was born by 9:56pm. With only 6 minutes of pushing. I couldn't have asked for a better labor and delivery. It was a great experience and went a lot smoother than claire's delivery. Im already feeling great! Here is our cute little boy...

Claire is a great big sister. She is still learning but she is doing awesome.

Scott is a pretty chill baby. I can already see a difference between him and claire.

Scott and Harley (alicia's little girl who is 2 months old now)... We are so happy alicia is here to visit and to meet scott.

It is so much fun to be a mom! I love every minute of it....

We were happy to leave the hospital sunday afternoon. It was so nice to go home! Scott is doing great, eating really well now and sleeping okay. He has a couple doctors appointments coming up. Lets hope they go well. Scott didn't pass his hearing test at the hospital and the doctors are a little worried about his left eye. Hopefully everything is okay and we will get it all figured out soon.

This week rich has a couple job interviews and studying for finals. It will be a busy couple weeks but luckily my mom is here to help.

Going Green In Eugene

Here in Eugene everything green is popular. Green cars, green buildings, smoking green things.

We decided to try the latest craze Green Smoothies. Despite their appearance these smoothies are totally legal even without a doctors note.

They are actually really good. Much like a typical smoothie they are made with mangos, bananas, pineapple, kiwis. The green ingredient is spinach.

We do have Jamba juices in Eugene but it is a fifteen to twenty minute drive. We don't ever make the drive. So now we enjoy our own green, healthy smoothies. Its fun, and a good way to get claire some green in her diet.

Spring break part 2 - Visiting Great Grandpa

Over spring break we were able to go to the Portland fire station and visit my grandpa. This was Claire's first trip to the fire station, she loved it. My grandpa is amazing, he is the oldest fireman at the portland fire station. He drives the fire truck and is in better shape than most everyone i know!

Spring Break Part 1- Newport Beach

To start off spring break we headed down to Newport beach. We stayed at a hotel for 2 nights with another couple that we know from school. It was so much fun to get out. Our hotel room was beautiful, right on the beach.

The first day there was beautiful. Claire loved the beach. She ran all over and even though the water was freezing, she didn't care.

The second day we went to the oregon coast aquarium. Its was so much fun. Claire loved seeing all the animals and fish.

For some reason i swelled up like a balloon at the beach. My face is so puffy in these pictures. This little boy is getting so big. Im 37 weeks in this picture and I think Ive grown a couple more inches in the belly since this picture was taken. We have 2 weeks left now and im hoping this boy comes very soon!

We thought the under water tunnels were really cool.

By the end she was very ready for a nap and didn't want to leave.

At the hotel we went swimming. The pool was pretty cold and claire would have nothing to do with it. While everyone else played in the pool and hot tub, claire and I played in the bath (one of her favorite things).

We got to see some wild sea lions along the bay, and rich was able to eat some fish. We also went out to watch the hunger games movie. (so much fun and claire slept through the entire thing!)

We had a lot of fun. We probably wont be able to do something like this again for a while, im so glad we had the opportunity. The rest of spring break was spent at my parents house. (pictures coming soon.)

One lucky day!

Wednesday we work up to this in our parking lot. I took this picture from our front window. Under all those branches is our neighbors poor car. Their back window was shattered and the roof of their car was dented in. We got about 6 inches of snow over night. It was a crazy day. Eugene shut down, classes were canceled and it made for a fun morning. We had a great breakfast together, Hung out and later in the day we went out to doughnuts and then took rich to school to work on his paper. It was a nice day.

Rich has been working on homework a LOT lately. We are excited that he is turning in his big paper tomorrow and we get to head off to the beach for a fun weekend. Claire loves her cuddles with daddy lately, its so cute.

Last saturday some girls from church threw me a baby shower. It was so cute. The theme was a mustache bash. My mom, sisters and grandma came down to visit and we played all day. It was a great girl day while rich was off studying.

Claire is so fun to watch. She loves to explore everything. Her new thing is unscrewing the little white things on the sides of the toilet. I had to hide them and just leave the screws showing because she just wont leave them alone.

Claire started a gymnastics class once a week at the local community center. It is so much fun, she loves the chance to get some energy out and learning new things. She is having a lot of fun trying to do a roll by herself. She starts the roll but I normally have to help her finish.

Everything is going great here. Claire is adorable. Rich has been so busy but is almost ready for spring break to start tomorrow. 2pock is growing everyday. I am a ticking time bomb and just hoping this boy joins us sooner than later. 4 weeks and counting.

Emotions and lots of pictures

I've been seeing a lot of this face this week. Claire has had a little cold and been very emotional about everything. She also hasn't been sleeping as well since the move either. If anything happens that she doesn't like she gets pretty upset. Poor girl. Hopefully she will get better about sleeping and get over the runny nose soon. Luckily she slept ALL night last night! YAY! Lets hope she does it again.

With the move came many more fun things to explore and climb. This little girl amazes me every single day. (and scares me!) she has had a lot of new things to fall off of also.

Claire loves the window and stands here hoping I will take her outside every single day. Luckily we have had a couple nice days this last week! She also stand in the window like this when Rich leaves for school, she watches him drive off and then cries for at least a couple minutes.

Claire has been so good with her dolls. She takes such good care of them, its fun to watch her be a little mom. She feeds them, washes them, kisses them, rubs lotion on them and sometimes tries to put a diaper on them. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. She is going to be a GREAT big sister.

Claire is an expert cup drinker now and gets her own cup at dinner time which we don't have to help her drink out of at all. We only have a spill every once in a while, im so proud of her! She is such a quick learner.

As for 2pock, he has 5 weeks left of "cooking"! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. In 2 weeks we have an ultrasound to check to see if he is head down. He is measuring great and growing like a weed. We can't wait to meet him. Until then Im working on my last project for work before he comes and I take a month off and making a cake for a friends baby shower on tuesday.

Rich has been working REALLY hard. He is amazing and has spent quite a few late nights at school over the last week. He has a huge paper he is working on right now. Great job handsome.
