A lot has been going on.

Lots has been going on and I figured it was time to update the blog. We are finally settling down in Eugene and hopefully this week wont be as CRAZY as the last couple have been.

To start out we finally have a brand new fridge to fill this spot in our apartment! Our fridge died a couple weeks after we moved in and we were fridge-less for about 5 days! We are so glad to have a fridge again. You don't realize what a blessing a fridge is till you don't have one.

We went to the beach with some of the other LDS law students. Of course it was windy and a little cold but we had fun. Claire still likes to eat sand!

...and play with her doll!

Claire and Scott have been playing together more. I LOVE it! it just melts my heart. They have been giggling together a lot lately. So cute! They love the blanket from grandma butler!

We love ALL of the room we have in our new apartment. Hopefully one of these days the house will be clean enough i can take pictures and put some up on the blog. But for now, this is all you will be getting....

I have felt like the cake lady lately. I am really am no professional, but it sure has been fun. Claire enjoys watching me bake and getting to eat lots of cake and icing.

2 weeks ago was Ashley's baby shower. It was a tea party theme and I made the cupcakes and a "test" cake to get ready for my cake i did last week. It was a lot of fun. We served the cupcakes in tea cups. It turned out cute.

I painted this cake. I have always wanted to try this and it was a lot of fun and pretty easy and fast. Next time I want to use fondant because I think it will be easier to paint on than painting on just icing. But I think it turned out okay. The flowers are icing hand painted also.

I made valilla bean cupcakes with vanilla bean buttercream and coconut cupcakes with coconut lime buttercream. YUM. I will be making both of these again. Especially the coconut ones.

My other cake was a wedding cake done for a girl in our ward. It was SO much fun to do, but a LOT of work. Her decorations were all about buttons and so I ended up making over a thousand chocolate buttons! She only wanted a small cake and then they made a couple hundred chocolate cupcakes that I made buttons for also. It was a lot to take on and rich was so helpful the whole week! It was fun to make a cake that I got paid to do.

The cake was a white cake with chocolate mousse and raspberry filling.

For the buttons I made molds of a bunch of my grandmas awesome buttons and then filled them with chocolate. I had fun doing this cake and doing something other than fondant. I think I was able to frost this pretty smooth too.

I can't wait to see the nice pictures the photographer took for me.

To thank rich for ALL the amazing help this last week I made him a coconut and raspberry cheesecake.

So thats it for the cakes for now. Im sure more will be coming soon. I really want to make a cake like this one next http://pinterest.com/pin/227783693624236971/  . Its so cute!

Claire has been having fun at the park near our house!
She loves wearing our clothes. She is talking a little more lately, and she is starting to use her potty!!!!!

Scott is growing up so fast. he is 5 months old. He only sleeps in 45 minute to an hour and a half stretches! He is wearing his mommy out but we love him so much! He can roll over and move himself around a little bit to get toys. He also eats a lot. Anyone know how to get a stubborn little boy to sleep? I even tried to let him cry it out. That was a fail!

Of course we are back in football season. Rich loves every minute of the duck games. its been fun.

School is going great. rich enjoys his classes so far! he has been home a lot more this semester too! YAY!

Here is the finished seminary room!
